1. Who we are, and how to contact us

2. What PubDesking does

PubDesking is a directory and desk booking service for daytime desk space in pubs across the UK. Pubs are independent businesses, and the desk is provided by the pub, not by PubDesking. By using the site, you agree to these terms.

3. Your account

Each account is one account type, customer or landlord. You must give accurate information when you register, and keep your password safe. We may suspend or close an account that is used in a way that breaches these terms.

4. Bookings

A booking is confirmed at once. The price shown is the pub's price. PubDesking takes no payment.

5. Cancellation policy

Cancelling a booking. You can cancel a booking free of charge from your account at any time before it starts. Once the start time has passed, it can no longer be cancelled online.

Payment. PubDesking does not take payment. The price shown is the pub's price, and you pay the pub directly in the way it asks. Any refund of money you have paid the pub is between you and the pub.

If the pub cannot honour your booking, it will contact you by email as early as it can, and PubDesking can cancel the booking on the pub's behalf.

If you do not arrive, the pub's own house rules apply.

6. For landlords

• Claim only a pub you hold the licence for, or are authorised to list.
• Keep the listing accurate.
• Honour a confirmed booking, or contact the customer as early as you can if you cannot.
• A venue can only be removed when it has no upcoming bookings.

7. Directory data

Some listings come from the Open Pubs dataset, drawn from Food Standards Agency data and used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Details may be out of date; a landlord who claims a listing is responsible for keeping its own details accurate.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use PubDesking to submit false information, to scrape or copy the directory's data beyond what the Open Government Licence allows, or to attempt to disrupt or misuse the site.

9. Liability

Our liability is limited as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they last changed.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer habitually resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, this does not take away the protection your own local law gives you, and you may bring proceedings in either the courts of England and Wales or the courts of the country you live in.
